Bird|This book is written by St Clair Augustin Mulholland a Medal of Honor recipient who was in many of the major battles of the Civil War and wounded four times. It is well written and imparts insight into the war that only someone who was actually there can do.

A story of the 116th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Soon after arriving at the front of the War of Rebellion it was attached to General Thomas Meagher's Irish Brigade of the Army of the Poomac. For the next two years the regiment fought alongside Meagher's Irishmen in various campaigns.
