I lent my first copy to a gentleman in his early 90's who flew bombers in WW2. He flew B-29s so he was not with the Eighth Air Force. My father flew in North Africa but not in Europe. In any case, I have read 100's of books about the air war in WW2. I have read accounts by British, U.S., German, and Japan|About the Author|As a boy, Roger Freeman watched from his father's farm as the 8th Air Force took off for its missions over Germany; he has had a lifelong interest in the Mighty Eighth ever since, and now lectures on USAAF history, both here and in America.
