It's not just the best book on the subject, it's one of the best books in general I have read. My love for military history is all about the details. I really dislike it when the author talks about a subject in general. I actually prefe|About the Author|Matthew Strickland is senior lecturer in Medieval History at Glasgow University. Robert Hardy is famous for appearing in 'All Creatures Great and Small' and the 'Harry Potter' films. Away from acting, he is an acknowledged expert on archery.
