When this book was first written at the time of the "revolution" (in 1979), the author wrote that he had heard that Israeli soldiers were part of the Shah's defense forces in attacks against anti-Shah|About the Author|Hamid Algar has been teaching topics on Islam and Iran at the University of California, Berkeley, since 1965.
