He was one writer who could weave a good tail based on the truth and he could also tell it in such a way to bring the story alive in your mind. If a person has any interest in WW2 then this book needs to read along with Mr. Brickhill,s other creations, The Great Escap|About the Author|Paul Brickhill was shot down in Tunisia early in 1943. He managed to escape from a minefield only to be recaptured. For the rest of the war he worked on 'X' Escape Organisation.
